Carbon and graphite materials are non-metallic solid materials mainly composed of carbon elements, wherein carbon materials are basically materials composed of non-graphitic carbon, and graphite materials are basically materials composed of graphitic carbon. Not only graphite, but also diamond, fullerene, and carbene, all carbon-containing materials are called carbon materials.
Carbon products mainly use petroleum coke and needle coke as raw materials and coal tar pitch as binder. They are made by calcining, batching, kneading, pressing, roasting, graphitization and machining. According to its quality index, it can be divided into ordinary power, high power and ultra-high power.
Graphite products are conductive electrodes sintered by pressing and forming without graphitization, using carbon materials such as anthracite and metallurgical coke (or petroleum coke) as raw materials, coal tar pitch as binder. It is not suitable for electric furnaces for smelting high-grade alloy steel.
